Many people are aware that the price of fresh fruit and vegetables available at your local supermarket is on the increase. With this in mind, many people are learning How To Grow their own in the UK. We have the perfect weather for growing our own crops and with a little tender loving care, we can ditch the mass produced produce that supermarkets force upon us. Gone are the days when we looked forward to seasonal fruit and veg, as most things are grown abroad, and are available all year round. Fruit, vegetables and cut flowers are imported from all corners of the world, many of which have travelled thousands of miles. What could be nicer than walking into your own garden to pick your home grown produce, miles travelled? .... approximately 25ft! Not only do we cut down our carbon footprint, but we can also save money. |
