June is the time to:

Sow
- Courgettes
- Pumpkins
- Squash
- Fennel
- Any remaining salad seeds for a summer crop
Plant Out
- Cucumbers
- Sweetcorn
- Any other seedlings raised during Spring
- Any herbs grown from seed
Harvest
- Peas
- Broad beans
- Spring onions
- Early cabbages
- Early cauliflowers
- New potates
- Onions
- Carrots
- Turnips
- Beetroots
- Garlic
- Globe artichokes
- Salad greens and vegetables
Things to do
- Keep the weeds down
- Water when necessary
- Net cabbages and other brassicas to deter birds and insects
- Feed asparagus plants with a general fertilizer after you have stopped picking spears. Leave in situ, and cut down in Autumn
