Growing Trees Home-made Apple Cider Recipe

Growing The Right Tree

You will need:

Windfall Apples (the smaller the better)
Water
19 oz sugar

How to make home-made cider:

Take all the fallen apples; cut up and place into an earthenware jar. Cover with cold water, protect with muslim and let stand for 10 days, giving an occasional stir daily.

When fermentation has ceased, strain. Add 19oz of sugar to every 8 pints of liquid.

Bottle and let stand, uncorked for 14 days. Once it has ceased working, cork securely. Do not use screw stoppers. Leave to stand between 2 and 3 months.

This is a wonderful way to enjoy the pleasures of windfall apples. What could be better than to celebrate christmas with a glass of crystal clear, sparkling cider? Scrumptious!
