You will need:
3 lb Sugar
1½ lb Blackcurrants
1 pint of water
How to make Blackcurrant Jam:
Stalk and cut the brown ends off the blackcurrants, place in a large heavy bottomed saucepan and add the water. Boil the fruit and water together for 20 minutes. Add the sugar and boil for a further 5 minutes.
Pour into sterilised jars and seal well.
This blackcurrant jam should keep for upto 2 or 3 years.
